David established Healthy Movers with a mission to help others get moving and improve their quality of life by using exercise as medicine.
Why become an Accredited Exercise Physiologist?
With a strong passion in being active and competing in high level sport, David decided to pursue a career in fitness and exercise. Through seeing the effects of chronic disease on family members and multiple rehabilitation journeys from sporting injuries, David decided to study at Deakin University and complete a Bachelor Degree in Exercise and Sport Science and a Masters in Clinical Exercise Physiology.
David's experience has been gained in a variety of settings and workplaces including Ballarat Health Service, Dandenong/Springvale community health, Deakin University’s Clinical Exercise Learning Centre and local Exercise Physiology practices. David has also worked in athlete development with junior tennis players and senior football (AFL) teams. David has created pre-season programs for local football teams drawing on his experience playing in the TAC cup and VFL.

Outside of work David plays football in the Eastern Football League and enjoys social games of Golf and Tennis.
